Sprint, the major global internet carrier and
telecommunications holding company, started the HD voice feature in 2012 and
speculates the same to get completed by this summer. Meanwhile, the CEO at
Sprint revealed that the company plans to roll out HD Voice by July all across
the nation.
The announcement was made during the Oracle Industry Connect
conference, which was held on Tuesday in Boston.
HD Voice
is still a killer app and the same has already been launched in few markets.
But, Sprint speculates to launch the same country-wide by the first of July.
However,
Sprint has also rolled out HD Voice on HTC EVO 4G LTE two years back, with a
commitment of phone-calls with higher quality.
The HD
Voice feature enabled enhanced performance by cancelling loud music
disturbances in the background, when compared to voice codec released
previously, in all it presented a much improved voice sound. The company
believes the same to be a considerable upgrade that will make call quality much
clearer.
Others
which are working on this front include T-Mobile which announced nationwide HD
Voice at the CES event last year for HTC One S, Nokia Astound and Samsung
Galaxy S III smartphones. Also, it's being speculated that the same will land on
Verizon phones and AT&T in this year sometime.
The CEO
also discussed about the 4G plan of the Company, Spark, which was first
unveiled in October. The striving system is capable of doubling the wireless broadband
speed of the 4G LTE Sprint Spark network and is speculated to get released
across the United States by the end of 2014.
Initially
launched in New York, Kansas City, Chicago, Los Angeles and other eight
markets, Spark was released in Baltimore and Philadelphia in February, with
unison of the expansion of HD Voice.
