A Small bite of Chinese Smartphone Share taken by Apple

Apple, spanning new boundaries and trying hands at new ventures, now appears to be heading towards the Chinese Android heavy-market. This news has been recently revealed by the wall Street Journal.

The availability of the new iPhone 5C and 5S contributed in helping Apple’s market share rise by about 1percent in the fourth quarter of 2013. These phones were launched in September and shared similar launch date with that in the U.S. Before this, fans of Chinese phones had to wait for months to experience any of the latest iDevice hands-on.

Considering the global market share for Apple, the company still manages to acquire a mere 7%, and is placed at the top fifth place following behind Samsung, Lenovo, Coolpad and Huawei. Meanwhile, another company which is a rather new entrant, Xiaomi in a span of just three years has managed to grab the six percent of the market share. The company has been in the smartphone game for only three years and experts have a positive belief about the company’s future growth and prospects as well.

Moreover, Apple in January signed a deal with China Mobile to release its flagship phones iPhone 5S and 5C to the largest mobile carrier of the country.

The iPhone by Apple are loved and appreciated by outnumbering users’ world over. Also, experts believe that there is a large chunk of users who are eagerly awaiting the incredible combination of iPhone on the leading Chinese mobile network, as recently said by the chairman of the company.
