The year 2013 brought with it many arguments, but as
always there are few that managed to become the biggest or most-talked about
tech fights of this year. The debate extends to a lot of things based on
technology and covers everything from a 3D printed gun to the Chromebooks.
The year began with a great tech
conflict, while February brought with it an intense discussion about the use
and need of electric cars, September month was filled with talks about notion
sickness that got induced by iOS 7. December brought with it a hot debate over
two gadgets that is the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One, about which one is the
better option. Meanwhile, some fights have been a part of this scene since
years, the most favorite on this front is the battle of the smartphone
manufacturers.
While, the most discussed fight of
the patents between Apple and Samsung continued as usual even in 2013, with no
signs of slowing down even in the New Year. On this debate, a Jury from
California awarded Apple with $290 millions in its fight against Samsung. The
two competitors are again in a mood for a patent fight, which will be on trial
in the same Californian court some time sooner.
However, on the other hand, another patent
fight between other two brands that are Microsoft and Motorola finally saw its
end in September this year. This happened after an award of $14 million was
given to Microsoft as per the settlement by a District Court jury in Seattle in
the U.S.
In addition to the patent fights and
others mentioned above, 2013 brought with it many more fights which took place
over the past twelve months, some of which might even continue this year as
well.
