Erasing “Out of Scan Range” Error from SONY Desktop

http://www.supportbuddy.net/support-for-sony/
‘Out of Scan Range’ is an error message that is not common with Sony desktops, but can arise in them due to one or the other problem. The probable cause of this anomaly is the PCs video card is set for a refresh rate that the display does not actually support.

For rectification, the computer or video card documentation can be referred to determine the possible resolution setting and method of adjusting the necessary settings. Although the Manuals, Specifications and Warranty information for Sony desktop is available online, following them is quite far away from practicality for normal regular and the novice users. Only a trained and experienced technician can have the guts to open the system for the recovery purpose, with the fail of which even more troublesome issues may arise. However, for general information, the process has been mentioned herein:

•    The PC must be switched off.
•    The display should then be disconnected from the computer.
•    An old display or Cathode Ray Tube monitor must be connected to the PC.
•    All available software and driver updates for the PC must be downloaded and installed from the Sony’s official website.
•    Again the PC must be shut down.
•    The temporary monitor from the PC must be disconnected and the new one reconnected.

With this the error should get wiped off. If not, or if users fear executing the procedure they should obtain SupportBuddy’s Sony desktop support by initiating a call at 1-888-976-5633.
